Digital photography is the devil's medium of expression. There are some photographs that, at first thought, are simply not worth the film they are captured on. A roll of film costs, what, a few bucks? Printing is about ten? That adds up fast. That's why I could never be trusted with a camera in the past. I'd take a bunch of pictures of nothing, and then when the really good photos are available I'm too scared about wasting film to take the right shots.
As perusal of these directories will indicate, however, that is not a problem in this day and age. The result is that I take all the wrong shots. The shots that get people in trouble with their future wives. The shots I can edit to look like anything I want. The shots of my daily life.
Until halfway through the photos from my trip to Japan in January of 2003, I primarily used a pencam to take all the photos here. Some were taken by my roommate's old digital camera and some were scanned from film prints. Now I use a Canon IXY Digital, and what that means for you is that the terrorism is crisper, deeper, and fuller. If you see yourself here, literally or analogically, I am sorry. Terribly, horribly sorry.
